Snowmass Wine Festival is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Snowmass Village. Since its founding in 1991, the Snowmass Village Rotary Club continues to grow with about 40 current members. Rotary International represents more than 32,000 clubs worldwide in more than 200 countries with more than 1.2 million members. Rotary’s mission is “Service above Self” and Rotarians live by the 4-way test:
1. Is it the truth
2. Is it fair to all concerned
3. Will it build good will and better friendships
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned
For a small club, Snowmass Village’s accomplishments are impressive. Sponsoring one major fundraiser – Wine Festival in September, in collaboration with the Town of Snowmass Village. Funds are allocated to the Community Grant Program. This year our Rotary Club gave out over $80,000 to local and international non-profit organizations and to Basalt vocational programs and scholarships for graduating seniors.
Throughout the Town of Snowmass Village, the Rotary is kept active with the Annual Spring Town Clean-up, Snowmass Rodeo, Thanksgiving Community Dinner, Holiday Salvation Bell Ringers, as well as other community events.
Snowmass Village Rotary meets every Wednesday at 7am at the Viceroy Hotel Snowmass, Snowmass Village. Interesting speakers present programs with the meeting concluding by 8:30am Guests are always welcome. Visit Rotary Club of Snowmass Village for additional information.
The Snowmass Rotarians in their distinctive cowboy hats can be found volunteering throughout the Rodeo Grounds – in the parking lot, collecting tickets, handing out programs – wherever they’re needed! We couldn’t do it without them!
